A newborn baby girl of Kishori Rahul Waghmode is fighting for her life in the NICU at Sai Sparsh Children’s Hospital, Kolhapur.
She was born on 18 December 2025 at just 26 weeks of pregnancy (extremely premature) and weighed only 680 grams at birth.
She is suffering from:
Preterm Birth (26 Weeks)
ELBW (Extremely Low Birth Weight)
Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS)
On Ventilator Support
Surfactant Therapy Given
Under continuous NICU care
She has been admitted in NICU since 18/12/2025 and remains under critical care.
Doctors have advised another 30–40 days of hospitalization.
Currently, she weighs only 1.075 kg and is on IV antibiotics and IV fluids.
Family Background
The family belongs to a financially weak background from Hatkanangale, Kolhapur District.
The hospital is not empaneled under government schemes, so the family cannot receive financial scheme benefits.
The father and family are completely unable to bear such a massive medical expense on their own. Without urgent financial assistance, continuing life-saving treatment will become extremely difficult.
