Jahir Mansuri, a bright and eager student in the 2nd grade at Alpha English School, dreams of a brighter future through education. He lives with his family of seven in the slums of Kurla Qureshi Nagar. Jahir’s father, who was the sole breadwinner, worked as an unskilled laborer until a critical nose surgery forced him to stop working. The doctor’s advice to avoid heavy labor has left the family in dire straits. Jahir’s mother, who was a housewife, is now working as a domestic helper, earning a meager ₹7,000 to ₹8,000 per month. This income is stretched thin, covering her husband’s medical treatments and the basic needs of their family, including Jahir’s elderly and ailing grandparents.

Despite these hardships, Jahir’s mother was determined to provide her son with quality education and enrolled him at Alpha English School. However, the family’s financial situation has become so desperate that she can no longer afford to pay the school fees. Faced with mounting debt and no other options, Jahir’s mother made the heart-wrenching decision to pull him out of school. This decision has deeply saddened Jahir, who is passionate about continuing his education and achieving his dreams.
