Medical Overview
Baby Rachana Hemant Ghatake is just 6 months old and is battling a serious congenital heart condition known as Large PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus – 5.5 mm) with Left to Right Shunt. In this condition, a major blood vessel that should close after birth remains open, causing excessive blood flow to the lungs and dangerous strain on the heart. Doctors at KIMS Manavata Hospital, Nashik have advised urgent early PDA closure surgery with surgical backup. Without timely intervention, her condition can rapidly worsen and become life-threatening.
Family Background
Baby Rachana belongs to a very humble family. Her father works as a daily wage worker, and her mother is a homemaker. Rachana is their first-born child, and the family consists of just three members. With limited income, no medical insurance, and no savings, the family is completely unable to manage the high cost of heart surgery. Their only hope now lies in the support of kind-hearted donors.

His father, Mr. Abhijit Bhupal Pawar, a resident of Kolhapur, earns just ₹1,50,000 annually. Despite working tirelessly to support his family, the cost of saving his baby’s life has become unbearable. The family has exhausted all savings and has no financial support left.
