In India, over 26 million persons live with disabilities, and nearly 20% face mobility challenges. For those from rural and low-income families, a wheelchair is more than just an assistive device—it is freedom, dignity, and a gateway to education, work, and community life.

Unfortunately, the cost of a wheelchair (₹6,000–₹15,000) remains out of reach for underprivileged families. Many children miss school, adults lose livelihood opportunities, and elderly citizens remain confined and isolated due to lack of mobility support.Through “Freedom on Wheels – Wheelchair Support Program”, Anekaa Care Foundation is committed to changing this reality. Together, we can provide mobility, independence, and hope to those who need it the most.

Children with locomotor disabilities are unable to attend school without mobility support. A wheelchair ensures every child gets the chance to learn and grow.

Adults with disabilities often lose job opportunities due to immobility. Providing a wheelchair helps them regain independence and secure sustainable livelihoods.

Senior citizens from poor families, struggling with mobility challenges, regain confidence, social inclusion, and a sense of self-worth with a wheelchair.

Accident survivors, stroke patients, or those recovering from illnesses in low-income households receive a second chance at life with the support of a wheelchair.
